The creativity of the creators of video game modifiers surfaces every time a new title is released. With the arrival of Smash Bros Ultimate, many of these ‘modders’ went to work on interesting modifiers to apply to the characters. That also applied to the new Dragon Quest waifus, Pyra and Mythra.
Shortly after adding them to the character roster, a modder tweaked the game to increase the bounce on both heroines’ breasts, sparking rage from many gamers on social media. And things got out of hand when another mod surfaced, much more sinful than the last. It was a setting that completely undresses Pyra, leaving nothing to the imagination of gamers and otakus.
Despite the explosive reaction against the modifier by one group of users on social networks, another group stood up to them by defending the setting and its creator. Among the most prominent arguments, there are those that mention that mods are already common in games, and that criticism will not demotivate those who create them.
