Wandavision Disney plus Malcom in the Middle Series Marvel Musical analysis

Wandavison Lets Keeping Going

“WandaVision” made in its chapter 6 a great tribute to “Malcolm in the middle” both in the style of filming, editing and obviously the music, where the opening “Let’s Keeping going” stands out.

The Work begins with an Ostinato (sequence of Notes that is repeated many times), in 4/4 time and composed of the following notes:

A5 - A4 - D # 5 - E5 - A5 - A4 - D # 5 - E5

While counting by voice 1 - 2 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 to start with the first section of the work, with a style similar to “Boss of Me” (Malcolm in the middle opening), but with another harmony:

| C |% | Bb | F | x2

The work changes to a section that is responsible for making band hits every 2 bars, stopping the dizzying part of the first section, but serving as an impulse, or a preparation for the last section:

| Dm | % | Gsus | % | Dm | % | Bb |% |

We arrive at what would be the chorus of the Song and it is valid to call it that since the lyrics repeat the title of the work several times, at the same time the rhythm of the first section is resumed and the Ostinato that started the work is added :

| A | % | F | % | C | % | G | % | x2 | C |

A great chapter of WandaVision and tremendous musical work to get into the concept of the well-remembered series Malcolm in the middle from the beginning.

Successes
