Spiral is a movie set 12 years after the events of the “SAW” saga, where a policeman tries to solve a series of murders that is closely related to the iconic Jigsaw games.
The play “Be Partners” is heard as it approaches the final game, revealing the enigma of the film. The highlight here is the variation that is made to the iconic song of the saga to achieve the right filling for the scenes shown. A detail that will serve us later is that the main theme of Saw (Hello Zepp) is in the key of Dm and the work “Be Partners” is in C # m.
The melody is unique and lasts practically the entire work. This one has a similar rhythm but beginning with a halftime silence, feeling out of date but mysterious at the same time. The work increases elements (strings, pads, percussion) to create a lot of tension and finally when the whole band is there, the harmony of the work is changed to generate variety:

As when creating this variant, Charles Clouser is modulating from C # m to Dm, thus preparing the natural entry of the “Zepp Nine” theme (which is the same Hello Zepp theme). Great job.
