Soundtrack Shimoneta Anime Ecchi Musical analysis

Shimoneta - Shaba daba daba daba

The anime “Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai” (下 ネ タ と い う 概念 が 存在 し な い 退 屈 な 世界 something like “a boring world where dirty jokes don’t exist”) better known as SHIMONETA is a criticism of society conservative that manages to create a system where all kinds of action, material or obscene and immoral language, are repressed thanks to some devices that are placed on young people around the neck.

In this context, a movement called SOX appears against all this social construction. The moment their leader “Blue Tundra” appears for the first time at the train station this work called “Shaba gave gave gave” is heard.

The soundtrack is composed by Akiyuki Tateyama and the name of the song is precisely because it is the lyrics of the work that is executed in an ensemble of all the instruments and then put an improvisation section, whose harmonic progression is:

A7 | D7 | G7 | E7 | x2

As always, the options to improvise are varied depending on the musician who is going to perform that part, since regardless of the scale that would correspond to this section it would basically be Mixoldios:

A mixolydium (A - B - C # - D - E - F # - G - A) for A7

D mixolydium (D - E - F # - G - A - B - C - D) for D7

G mixolydium (G - A - B - C - D - E - F - G) for G7

E mixolydium (E - F # - G # - A - B - C # - D - E) for E7

Of course, it is worth mentioning that the mixolydian can have b9, # 9, b13 we have more possibilities to use, not to mention that one could use many approximation notes (sounds outside the scale that resolve to sounds of the scale)

I particularly love the Shimoneta soundtrack because apart from creating the right atmosphere for the scene at the same time they took the trouble to develop each work and that makes it enjoyable, not so dependent on the scene.

Successes
