Zeus’ epic entry into the battlefield in “Record of Ragnarok (Shuumatsu no Valkyrie), is accompanied by a unique version of the second movement of the“ Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major, BWV 1068 by Johann Sebastian Bach ”as well. known as “Aria for G string” due to the arrangement made by the violinist August Wilhelmj.
The arrangement is called “Massacre on the battlefield in G” (G 戦 場 の 大 殺戮) and begins with an organ ostinato with drum histories and bass in the key of Dm, and then begins with the melody of the Bach theme. changing the key directly to D major, being played by Hermes’ violin:
