“Arcane” is the first series in the universe of the successful video game “League of Legends” which tells us the past of 2 iconic characters such as Viv and Jinx. The series at the beginning shows these 2 girls walking through a place where there has been a battle, Powder (Jinx as a girl) begins to sing a song of a medieval character a cappella (without instrumental accompaniment) while covering her eyes so as not to see the stark images that surround her.
This work uses a very characteristic mode of medieval times that is Doric (which always started in D), but transported to Eb to favor singing:
Eb - F - Gb - Ab - Bb - C - Db - Eb
The interesting thing about this work is that it has 2 very clear sections, and that in theory they should be contiguous, the genius of the soundtrack is that at the end of the first section a space is created to hear ambient sounds that make the viewer connect with the environment Then go back to the next section.
One last detail is how the final note is not conclusive, leaving the door open for the beginning of a great story told in 3 chapters
