“America: the Motion Picture” gives us an alternate world of how the United States achieved the liberation of the British Empire. Led by George Washington who manages to put together a team of allies including Sam Adams, Thomas Edison, Paul Revere, Gerónimo and John Henry to defeat King James and the traitor Benedict Arnold. One of the most peculiar moments of the film occurs when Martha, after drinking the beer, transforms into the iconic Statue of Liberty.
For this moment the soundtrack plays a majestic and altruistic melody in 3/4, accompanied by a full choir and a snare to give it the flavor of the march, a work that blends very well with the images of Martha playing the bald eagle and from there adopt the posture and dress of the Statue of Liberty. In key of C we have:
| Am | G 1 F | C | Dm | G | F | G | Csus4 | C |
It is worth highlighting the beginning with the VIm degree of the tonality from reaching the I accord with a plagal cadence (F - C), the use of the Csus4 chord to anticipate the arrival of the final C chord and the conclusion of the work. As in a few seconds you can do great musical and epic work.
