Manga Time Kirara is a Japanese magazine published by the Houbunsha company, which compiles various Seinen manga. It was first published in 2002 as a special issue of Manga Time (another magazine also published by Houbunsha). One of his most popular manga is Kirara Fantasy, which serves as a crossover between characters that appear in the magazine.
The Japanese website Anime! Anime! surveyed several users who were also Manga Time Kirara readers in the first weeks of October. The survey focused on finding out which anime adapted from the magazine’s manga was the users’ favorite. The results were the following:
1. Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?
Cocoa Hoto joins the staff of a coffee shop where she will meet very unique people who will light up her life. One of these new friends is Chino Kafu, a shy and precocious girl who always wears a rabbit on her head.
2. K-ON!
Four girls studying at the Sakuragaoka private women’s school join the music club to prevent it from being closed. As they are the only members of the club, they strive to master the instruments and become known.
3. Gakkou Gurashi!
A group of high school students are involved in a struggle to survive when the zombie apocalypse breaks out. While trying to stay alive, they discover that their school holds secrets that are linked to the tragedy they have faced.
4. Yuyushiki
Three girls have fun living very casual anecdotes, typical of any high school student. Sometimes they argue, but they always have a good time when there is something interesting to do at their school’s Data Processing Club.
5. Machikado Mazoku
Yuko Yoshida wakes up one morning and is surprised to find herself turned into a demon, descendant of a clan that fights an eternal battle with the light. As a mission, Yuko must face Momo Chiyoda, a magical girl who turns out to be her neighbor.
6. New Game!
After graduating from college, Aoba Suzukaze goes to work at a video game development company. Aoba spends his days designing and modeling characters for games, while interacting with his work colleagues.
7. Hidamari Sketch
A young woman named Yuno manages to be accepted into the Yamabuki High School of Art. To attend classes, Yuno moves to the Hidamari apartment complex, which is close to the school. Yuno meets other people who also dream of becoming artists and her life unfolds between her art lessons and everyday anecdotes.
8. Koisuru Asteroid
Mira and Aoi promised to discover an asteroid when they were kids. After several years, they meet again in high school and decide to make their dream come true by joining the geology and astronomy club at their school.
9. Slow Start
Hana Ichinose misses a full year of school due to illness. Upon returning to class, Hana will meet new friends from whom she will hide the fact that she is a year older than them.
10. Hanayamata
Naru Sekiya is 14 years old and loves fairy tales. But she has no other interests and that worries her a lot. When Naru meets a foreign girl who practices dance at night, she will enter the magical world of Yosakoi dance, which will completely change her life.
11. Blend S
A high school student named Maika Sakuranomiya has trouble finding part-time work due to her sinister smile. But that trait becomes extremely important when she is hired by the manager of the Stile cafeteria, who offers thematic attention for very special clients.
12. Yuru Camp
Two girls enjoy, each in their own way, the view of the majestic Mount Fuji. Each time they meet, they decide to camp to enjoy the landscape together.
