1. Wataru Komada
This seiyuu was present in the series Hypnosis Mic. Several conversations and photos between him and another woman who is not his current partner were leaked through the LINE social network. The seiyuu has denied everything, even though the evidence is very conclusive.
2. Minori Chihara
Chihara was part of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu, and she had a secret love affair with one of her band members for 6 years, before getting involved with a married man. After being discovered, she admitted everything and publicly apologized. Chihara lost her fans, her radio show was canceled, and her singing career was ruined.
3. Aya Hirano
This seiyuu was also in Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu. She caused a stir on the art scene when photos of her naked were leaked alongside a member of her band. That caused her career as a seiyuu and singer to stagnate. Hirano took refuge in the theater, where she slowly proliferated, and she landed a few roles in various anime.
4. Unknown voice actor
A woman made strong statements live, which made her a trend for a while. She claimed to be part of the cast of the anime The Idolmaster, but her testimonies have not been properly verified until today.
5. Daisuke Namikawa
Namikawa became infamous due to the rumor that he was romantically involved with all the seiyuus who worked with him in the same agency as his. Despite going public, Namikawa did not suffer many mishaps, reappearing successfully on television.
6. Nobuhiko Okamoto
His participation in Boku no Hero Academia made him known, and he was in the public eye after his infidelity was revealed. After publicly apologizing, his artistic life continued smoothly with his wife, who is also a seiyuu.
7. Yuko Miyamura
This seiyuu starred in an alleged home erotic video that was leaked on the internet, and in which she is seen having sex with whom she assumes was her partner. The controversy was short-lived because it was not confirmed if the woman who appeared in the recording was really Miyamura.
8. Maaya Uchida
Two compromising photographs of this artist were mysteriously leaked. The first in which she appears with an unknown man in a hotel, and the second with voice actor Yuki Kaji outside the country. Until today it is not known how or who leaked the photos, but the scandal did not seriously damage Uchida’s career.
9. Eriko Ishihara
The young seiyuu’s rising career ended abruptly after she confessed to appearing in an adult movie. Her agency fired her and she decided to retire without a trace in show business.
10. Seiyuu Unknown / Emi Nitta
This is the worst scandal in the seiyuu industry. Although the name of the artist is not mentioned, it is rumored that it is Emi Nitta, who appeared in an erotic video practicing oral sex on a man. Nitta became known for voicing the character Honoka Kousaka in the Love Live! Anime. School Idol Project. Those who saw the video claimed that it was her seiyuu due to the similarities between her and the woman in the recording (identical moles on the collarbone and chin). In 2016, the agency S Inc. settled the matter by stating that Nitta was not the woman in the leaked video.
