The Japanese blog Oricon shook the otaku community when it revealed that one of the Kodansha publisher’s manga had been deprived of all advertising promotion. It is about Ijimeru Yabai Yatsu, whose plot explores bullying in a very direct and brutal way.
This manga already has several compilation volumes published. However, after launching the eleventh, the Kodansha publishing house stopped its promotion on social networks due to complaints about the content of the advertising video. In it, it is indicated that the characters are battling each other, using bullying as a weapon, as well as other tactics that have displeased many readers.
The publisher ruled on the matter, noting that this title had already drawn criticism from the beginning of its publication. On Twitter, the manga’s official account was about to be closed shortly after vignettes of the first chapter were published.
Readers who follow this story (created by mangaka Nakamura Nan) are concerned at the alarming sensitivity of the general public to these issues. Some comment that, if this is the answer to the manga, it is very likely that no studio decides to adapt it to anime.
