Anime Hayao Miyasaki El viaje de Chihiro

Spirited Away: Inspired by Juifen City

Studio Ghilbi have not only been the cradle of several masterpieces, but the magic in which they were wrapped were the product of various real-life scenarios. These inspired the creators to give that secret ingredient of mysticism, reality and feeling to each one of them.

This time, we have “Spirited Away”, which had great places where its scenes were developed.

In China, in the province of Sichuan, there is a very peculiar point called Hongyadon and the structure that is there is the same as the bridge they cross.

There is no doubt that no matter how decades have passed since Miyasaki’s film was released, the small Taiwanese town will continue to receive fans visiting the cafes in the area. Since, it can be seen that it was clearly the source of inspiration for the creator.

The A-mei tearoom

It is a place to go on pilgrimage in the list of tourists. This house was the essence of the design of La “Casa de los Baños”, that spa where the spirits gathered to relax and wash themselves.

There is evidence that our dear Hayao Miyasaki has been in those parts and that the brainstorming sprang from there. One of the characters was faceless. The color, the architecture and every detail did not go unnoticed by the eyes of the great director Miyasaki. Without a doubt, they took care of every point from start to finish.
