In Uzaki-chan wa asobitai !, the protagonist Hana Uzaki is revealed as an adept at video games, and does not miss the opportunity to visit her beloved senpai to appropriate her console. Of course, apart from having a good time playing, Uzaki seeks to get closer to her senpai Shinichi Sakurai, although this causes severe headaches for the boy.
With the premiere of the anime, Kadokawa’s official YouTube channel decided to join the fever caused by virtual idols by sponsoring the energetic Hana Uzaki in her own virtual space.
The dynamic is as follows: just like in the manga or anime, Uzaki-chan visits Sakurai senpai to play video games. After a brief exchange of words, Uzaki presents the game that Sakurai will lend him to kill the time. During the broadcast, Uzaki learns the mechanics while Sakurai explains how to play. For example, in the most recent video, Uzaki plays Disgaea 6, with Sakurai’s punctual assistance during fights. Of course, both also interact like in the anime, with Uzaki provoking Sakurai with her jokes.
Uzaki has tried other games, such as Bomberman or Mario Kart 8. The latter was played competing with Sakurai, each throwing shells at each other when they had the chance.
Uzaki-chan wa asobitai! is the series created by the mangaka Take, who has collaborated with the Japanese Red Cross in their blood donation campaigns using the character of Hana Uzaki. The manga was adapted to anime in 2020, the same year in which a campaign against Hana Uzaki was unleashed because her physique was offensive to many people. Despite this, at the end of the first season it was announced that the production of a second installment had been approved, although the premiere date has not yet been revealed.
