Anime and manga events are very common in Japan, as well as in countries with a high concentration of otaku. However, you rarely have an organized one with a total focus on the ecchi aspect of manga and anime. That will change in 2021, as the first otaku ecchi event has been announced in Latin America, which will take place in Mexico: Expo Yaoi.
The event has been promoted on social networks, and among its attractions is a cosplay catwalk for ‘crossdresser’ characters, better known as cloths. However, the promotional image used has cosplayer Hato Joestar as the central figure, although it is not related to the event.
Expo Yaoi will take place in November 2021, with Oaxaca as the main venue. Due to the pandemic, the attendance quota has been limited, and those who wish to be part of the event must fill out a form.
