Dragon Ball GT is for many fans a saga worthy of oblivion. Many criticized her for being incoherent, recycling themes from previous sagas, boring arcs, and uninteresting villains. But it is undeniable that it also has its defenders and supporters. What they remember most fondly are the transformations of Goku and Vegeta in SSJ4, a GT aspect that was lost along with the entire saga when Toriyama announced that Dragon Ball Z would have a sequel with new transformations.
However, fans received a recent surprise when SSJ4’s transformations returned as a new state for Goku and Vegeta in the Dragon Ball Heroes anime. This series, which is characterized by taking place in a non-canonical timeline, has previously introduced other transformations and mergers never before seen in the official sagas. And yet another surprise is missing.
In the Xeno universe (where the events of Dragon Ball Heroes take place), the SSJ4 form will receive a buff known as Limit Breaker. Goku and Vegeta will reach this state to be able to face a new Janemba that proves to be a greater challenge than the Saiyan duo are used to. At first glance, both warriors look identical to their GT counterparts, but with minor differences such as reddish aura and hair. This new form of SSJ4 will appear in the series’ Big Bang Mission arc.
